"Our Attitude and not Aptitude that will Determine Our Altitude"

That's the theme for our Club meeting #173. This is what the President had to say about it:

ATTITUDE is a way of thinking, acting, or feeling and manner. Or a behavior of a person towards a situation or a cause. A person could change his attitude to positive or negative, depending on what has influence him/her. For example: as the work became more familiar, his attitude towards his work changed from dislike to great enthusiasm.

In life, we must have a positive attitude. With positive attitude, you will not fear failure. A life spent making mistakes is more useful than life spent doing nothing. To expect your life to be perfectly tailored to your specifications is to live a life of continual frustration.

What is the difference between champions and the average person? Tom Hopkins says "The single most important difference between champion achievers and the average people is their ability to handle rejection and failure through positive thinking"
S I Hayakawa said "Notice the difference between what happens when a man says "I failed 3 times" than what happens when he says "I am a failure". Failure is a situation, never a person with positive attitude.

Remember, a stumble is not a fall. In fact, a stumble may prevent a fall. Herman Melville wrote "He who has never failed somewhere, that man cannot be great" Louise Boone said "Don't fear failure so much that you refuse to try new things. If you learn from them, mistakes are very valuable. Cultivate this attitude and you will never be ashamed to try. William ward said "Failure is a delay, but not a defeat. It is a temporary detour, not a dead end street."
