At #455 meeting an apt 'theme of the day' coined for
toastmasters and guest of Money Mastery-KL Toastmaster Club (MMKL), a President's
Distinguished Club since 2003. A visionary theme to instill a sense of purpose in MMKL toastmasters mind for their designated
roles. Toastmasters started to arrive with full of enthusiasm and desiderate for
a purposeful meeting echoing the theme. What a night it would be, with good and
positive vibes seen in every toastmaster’s expressions.
Meeting officially started with a banging
of gavel by ASAA Nanthakumar. Every member followed him in reciting club's
pledges. Who is better to take the lead if not the President KL Loh, ATMG
himself. He led by example with his motivational speech. By reminding everyone
the reason they joined toastmaster, he set the tone and purpose for toastmasters
to follow. He encouraged toastmasters to continue practice to be a good speaker
and to overcome fear. His speech followed with thunderous applause by toastmasters
as a sign of agreement. Toastmasters seemed to be in full of energy to perform
their task confidently after president's speech.
Then, everyone stood up one by one
and introduce themselves with their own distinct speaking style which would be
the beginning of something spectacular later on during the meeting.

His prepared topics were about life and related to the theme of the day. Very
interesting topics indeed. All impromptu speakers spoke confidently without
showing any sign of fear. Special mention to our only guest Hosna who spoke confidently
with a smile in front of unknown audiences.
Next, the most anticipated session
the assigned speaker session started by our youngest speaker, Preston Ong with the
title 'Overcoming the Parkinson's Law'. He presented a very informative speech
in a confident and composed manner that belies his age. A definite star speaker
for the future. The second speaker Victor Ong, DTM spoke about a folk tale with
title 'The Tortoise and the Hare'. He masterfully expressed common folk tale
with mixtures of humour, well chosen words and cute expressions which kept
other toastmasters glued to his speech. Finally the third speaker Ron Yeap,
ACS, ALB closed the session with his speech titled 'The Toastmaster in You'. Continuously
engaging with audiences while giving speech are tough task to perform but
pulled off with ease and skilfully by him. He had just uplifted the mood of
toastmasters with his speech. Well Done!
